Epic Games IP assignment policy
What is Epic Games IP assignment policy? Currently I'm at Google and they make a very broad and aggressive claim to all IP I generate, even on the weekend and not using Google equipment. I don't have an offer yet so haven't seen the employment agreement, but can I expect to see the same policies at Epic Games? I would like the freedom to work on hobbyist policies. #epicgames TC: 320k (LCOL) YOE: 6
No outside activities unless pre approved. I would say almost never approved if there are any monetization plans. I don't think any company can claim your IP if you didn't use company hardware or time. It's restrictive. Most do it quietly though and don't talk about it.
