Got offer from a series b startup for a lead engineer role. Cash: 230k + 20% target bonus Equity: 0.5% at current 200m valuation. Raising next round targeting 500m valuation. Current TC ~350k #startup #equity #offer
Cash is good. 1M equity is pretty good.

Can someone please explain what 10,000 options at a strike price of $2 is worth? Is it just $20,000 as of now or how does it work? Also, in normal terms stock options are contract with 100 shares each. Does that mean 10,000 stock options is equal to 1M shares of the company?
What's the current yoe and location? That would give some better idea about the numbers.
Pretty good offer IMO for series B. You’ll also have to look at things like strike price, cost of exercising your options etc. As with any startup, chance of liquidity is low. Your equity seems large enough to have decent upside if things do go well.
