Have new grad offers from Salesforce and a subsidiary of Anduril and have been conflicted. Salesforce: Bellevue, WA, 186k 1st, 167k TC after Anduril: Atlanta, 100k base plus 18k options (would be closer to sf pay over time) Anduril is more embedded software, which is an area I am more interested in than application software. I don’t mind the work at Salesforce, just not as enthusiastic about it. My main area of conflict is the location. I prefer Washington by a lot and am worried that if I go to Atlanta and dislike it that I will have a hard time recruiting cross country and going elsewhere. Also, Anduril equity pretty much only pays off if I stay for a while, so it benefits me to stay there for at least ~2-3 years. Had a couple questions. Is it difficult to recruit cross country? Also, how much does the name of the company affect recruiting later in career? Salesforce is a bigger name than this subsidiary. Anduril has a growing name but it isn’t as known as Salesforce. Lastly, for anyone who knows, is the transition from embedded software to application software more difficult or the other way around? I have experience in both and am open to jobs in both, but curious as this is my first job out of college.
Mind if I ask breakdown of SF offer? seems a bit low compared to what I've heard

Congrats on the offers. There isn’t a wrong choice here. Blind polls almost always skew towards higher TC, so don’t put too much stock in the results. I posted something similar when I was evaluating offers where the non-Anduril option was offering $50k more and the poll got similar results. I chose to come here anyway and with the benefit of hindsight it was 100% the best decision for me. There are some compelling and non-obvious reasons to be at Anduril right now, I’m happy to talk through some of them with you if you shoot me a DM. The subsidiary you’re talking about is working on some ridiculously cool things. Either way you should negotiate the offer and I can share what worked for me.
DMed!
Hi, can I also DM? Would appreciate an opportunity to discuss the compelling and non-obvious reasons for joining Anduril and what the subsidiary is working on now. Thanks!
