They helped us through college and leetcode. During college finals when I partied too much, and during interviews when I couldn't understand weird graph algorithms, who was always there for me? My Indian knight in shining armor on YouTube. He emerges with a strong Indian accent, a very big brain, a mustache, button up shirt, and a desire to teach. He's somehow always able to explain everything better than the so called "experts". Thank you very much every Indian YouTube Guy. We wouldn't be here without you. 🥂 #Apple #LinkedIn #tech #swe #engineering #airbnb #amazon

The real way to thank them would be to advocate for opening up of the visa system so it wouldn't be as difficult for Indian tech workers to come to the US to work. But of course, few if any US tech workers would be willing to sacrifice their potential jobs for a more open and fair market, despite talking much about fair market value when complaining about their TCs.
I thought coming here was easy Staying permanently is just the hard part
No, H1B has a cap on the number of visas for the nation. So foreign competition is artificially hard. That's also why companies have to spend alot of time and money to sponsor candidates. It's really quite sad. Plus the worker even after they come to the US is constantly in danger of being asked to leave the country, if they cannot find another job after losing their H1B job for whatever reason. Not good for mental health or physical when you feel like you need to constantly perform or you need to GTFO the country you live in.
