If you left Amazon as an L6 Product Manager (Sr PM/PMT) for better culture/WLB and less stress, where did you go? Is it better? What’s your new title? TC: $200K
Product Manager @ Google Same thing, 1.6x comp. Liked Amazon culture better, but Google’s ain’t bad.
There is no better ! It’s just TC and less work
better TC and 'way way way' better team, culture and WLB.
Are you currently at Cisco? Surprised their tc is better.
Startup TC so lower than Amazon TC with (who knows) long term payout. Culture and people are significantly better than Amazon. Also, less talked about but my scope is SO much better than Amazon's sliver of the business ownership. It's very cool to influence a wide scope and determine strategy. And have access to good and bad decision making at a senior leadership (VP) level. Even knowing what not to do is valuable which I'd never have access to at Amazon.
What do you mean by strategy in this context?
Total comp for Amazon l6 seems very low. Definitely not worth the stress Amazon gives.
Went to Crypto startup. 220K TC -> 240K TC + 100K a year in equity (no value until Public). Liked Amazon culture better. No one wants to document at startups. A lot of short-term thinking which leads to throwaway work
Nice jump! May I ask what you did at Amazon to help make the move? Fintech stuff or..?
YoE Amazon?
Went to DD for 1.65x comp and much more interesting work
WTF does doordash want for the product interview. I know they give the same stupid open table problem to everyone. I didn’t pass it but no idea why.
I got the exact same and was like WTF do you want to hear! Really unsure what they are looking for
Meta! Via Twilio
Convoy is Amazon inspired but much better wlb
