Ex-Facebooker where are you now how do you like your new job ? (In terms of wlb and culture) Asking because I want to validate my theory that I can improve my wlb by leaving FB. WLB isn’t that bad, but it’s the stress that I don’t like. I often think about work and worry my PSC rating (scared of not meeting expectations).

Question about women in their 30’s?
Are you unhappy?
Yes, I am. WLB is bad but manageable. I don’t like the constant stress about performance review rating.
That aspect will remain true everywhere
How many hours you work per week?
50, but there’s constant stress about performance rating
Are u including commute time in the 50 hours? Especially if you use work in FB shuttle.
How good or bad is your wlb at Facebook? Which org are you in?
Can’t reveal the org As commented above, I don’t like the mental stress anymore. I find I am either thinking about my work or worrying about my performance most of the time. I think I need a change, looking for companies with relaxed atmosphere
All the comments are questions to op but no answers so far.
Meaning you can't leave FB alive 😂
What is life without work 🤔
It is neet and tendy
It’s awesome without work
Your level and yoe?
Why would anyone leave FB, such a great place to be. Switch to management, and wlb improves.
WLB might improve but every weekday will be stuffed with meetings.
You've never been a manager, huh?

Is it an engineering role?
Just wondering, what do you think would happen if you stopped stressing and started limiting your hours. Would you really get canned?
I will get meets-most, put on PIP and then fired.
Are you sure, have you actually tried? Do you believe that being constantly stressed is helping your productivity in any way? 🍆
Not facebooker. But what makes facebook wlb so bad? Atmosphere shared among members subtlely? Simply too much work load? Fear of immediate performance penalty and layoff?
Perhaps 6 month cycle exacerbates it? Comments below suggest that getting meets expectation rating only puts one on pip. Are people explicitly warned about this? guess that’d add to it as well.
Do people self-document their accomplishments? or are put under aggressive deadline? There must be a reason for self-imposed pressure seemingly worse than MS or Google; like 2 yr mandatory layoffs and the way ratings are decided. Suppose everyone in the team gets meets expectations at least, some are still let go I presume?
