Past Intel employees who joined Amazon AWS, do you like working there? Although the pay is significantly less, the wlb and good team tempts me to stay. Was recently approached by an Amazon recruiter and I'm not sure whether I should interview or stay. How has your experience been? Do you regret it? Asking specifically for SDE positions not managerial. Edit: After leaving Intel, what company have you enjoyed working in?
It makes sense, Intel has a pip culture too
No it doesn’t!!
My suggestions: If you are able to clear the Amazon loop, you probably will also be able to get offers from other equivalent and better companies. So, get the offers, and then decide. At least Amazon offer will give you some edge in negotiations with others.
I’ve known some folks who came to aws after being at Intel for many years. They didn’t stay at aws long at all.
Did they leave cause of PIP or better opportunities?
Don’t think they got pipped.
Ex Intel 18 years. Feel free to DM me for questions
Amazon sucks, not worth it in my opinion. A lot of back stabbing folks
First u interview and get offer, then think about it
No , you think about it beforehand to know what you’re looking for , what you like and how much money / perks / type of work will push you to move . Keep asking around !
All u get about Amazon are negative things here.
