Initial reports of Opendoor laying off additional staff today.#layoff
You know what they say about one ClosedDoor.
They keep emailing me new higher and higher offers on a property lol
New York City's hottest property is.. The shit-stained dumpster behind the halal cart on 40th and 6th. It has everything: leftover food, rats with good taste in hipster music, and a single cracked corner that acts as a makeshift self-draining urinal. Act now for the low asking price of 1.5M.
This isn't even a cool property lol, it's flyover country suburb haha

R u part of engineering?
I saw recruiters got laid off. How is sales, was there any reduction?
ClosedDoor
Only time I hear of Opendoor is when layoffs happen
Opendoor their algorithm is complete shit it was basically based on around home prices always go up and didn’t factor any negative scenarios. Companies like Opendoor along with hedge funds are one of reasons we had housing price shoot up this much (creating inflated demand and prices)..
The real root cause is repealing glass-steagall
They and the other ibuyer type programs got their asses handed to them and lost lots of money. They couldn't keep the momentum up to significantly impact the pricrs going up, otherwise they wouldn't of lost money on the future sales...
Market keeps getting worse by the day
Engineering impacted??
I see some recruiters and coordinators are gone.
No. Mostly operations
