I understand there's a substantial asian presence on Blind. This topic is to list good asian restaurants here in Bay Area. So far the only Asian food I find interesting is Turkish / Mediterranean. But I am open to try something new. In particular, they say there's some special Kobe steaks (Japanese?), which sound interesting. Any recommendations?
Asian food does not include Middle eastern cuisine 🧐
OP has no idea about geography
Middle East is 100% in Asia, so what are you talking about?
Turkey is mostly in Asia. I know of a Mediterranean restaurant by people from Jordan, and Jordan is also in Asia. As is Israel. So, who doesn't know geography here?
I think in your mind, the whole world is Asia, and everyone is Asian. In that case, food is just food, stop calling it Asian food.
???
Asian = East Asian, stop trying to be all "Akshually...", yeah we get it, those countries are technically in Asia.
Clearly OP is delusional about world's geography. Let's make this simpler for OP. What the fuck do you want to eat? Use the name of the country instead of the continent.
Kobe steak. Japanese?
Cupbop if you have it there. Korean bbq
To answer OP's question and not just get all snippy about terminology: most Japanese restaurants are in Japantown, as you may have guessed, but I'm partial to YakiniQ (Korean BBQ); Mensho Tokyo (ramen); House of Nanking (family style Chinese); Henry's Hunan (guess the region); So (surly pan-Asian, but maybe closed?); and Mama Ji's (Szechuan and dim sum).
So SOUVLA IS ASIAN? IMPOSSIBIRU & I Thought the US Government calling pizza a vegetable was stupid
Lol, Blind, hilarious! Persian / Iranian - also not Asian, may be?
THATS MIDDLE EASTERN CUISINE
For many people ...boundaries will be redrawn. Middle school refresher ;)
Turkish is Asian?
Most of the country is in Asia, and there are strong cultural ties to the Near East.
They're in between Europe and Asia. Most of the boutique people think of themselves as fake Europeans
