Hello Applying for JP Morgan chase executive director position. I have around 25 years of experience but not sure how role is supposed to be. Is this managerial or technical position. Also what is expected in interview? Any details about interview process is appreciated.
Some EDs in finance at Jpm make over $2m. I have no idea for tech ed.
What are you talking about
Money in finance.
ED is similar to director in big tech. VP is like a first line manager.
Did you already have interview request? Tough to get ED interviews without reference
I think the Operating Committee reports directly to Jamie Dimon - Mary Erdoes, Marianne Lake, Teresa Heitsenrether etc.
Generally manager of managers, occasionally an IC
Depends if you're on a technical track (individual contributor to a few reports) or managerial (a number of reports). There's also two levels of ED, regular L6 - ED (Director or Principle) and L7 - Senior ED (Senior Director or Senior Principle, which is on L8 - Managing Director track). It usually takes a minimum of 1-2 years to get from L6-L7 (usually 2 and above), and 2 years minimum from L7 to L8. Try to come in at the L7 level if you can.
Thanks for your inputs.Really helpful. Do you have any idea how interview process could be for L7.
It depends on the group you're going to. Some groups have interview panels, some will give you a coding assessment, others will have you speak directly to the hiring manager and maybe one or two other people.
How much is the TC?
Are you applying or you already got interview?
Probably a low level junior SDE job
😀
