Experiences with FDM Group?

Had a friend who wanted to switch career to CS/data analyst joined them, he told me he had to sign a 2 year contract with the first 4 months being minimum wage training and if he leaves before 2 years he needs to pay the training fee which is around 30k. Wtf?

I remember this company. After I basically exposed them at the "candidate day", I received a polite rejection stating that I was not a good "cultural fit" for them. This is after having offers from a couple of other places and realizing these guys just use you as skilled labour, but dupe you into thinking you're unskilled and unworthy of an industry job until you use their company as a launchpad for your career. It's mostly bullcrap. I can see folks that are desperate or those that can't seem to get a job anywhere else taking this position, but if you have other viable options, there's no reason anyone should ever pick this place.

Avoid avoid avoid. They’ll make you work for them at a rate of like 30k for 3 years then transfer you over to a shitty company after contract expires. If you try to break contract within the first 3 years you owe them money.

That is totally correct. Friend of mine works there - 2 yr contract. 4 months minimum wage. TC - 35k / yr (very few benefits - shitty insurance, crappy gym etc.). LOTS of politics. He plans to make contacts where he works (he's sent to work at a major bank) and leave once his time's up. Don't work there unless you are and absolutely desperate (and even then think twice).
