So, recently, our offshore onshore lead left. I need someone who knows services and front-end (to an extent). While our Wipro rep seems to be trying to fill that void, we went through 3-4 weeks of interviews and found a decent candidate. Now, here's the main issue: Wipro keeps sending us Resumes where information is always lacking. Like these people are putting their first name as the only name on the resume. Like wtf? What are you? A celebrity I have never heard of? Then, some of these employers are US-based employers in... India. All of these candidates supposedly have 8 years but can't describe what a component is — or if they can, you can legit see them lipsyncing the interview. So, anyway, we landed on a dude we liked to extend an offer and we have a contract to force them to hire him. Wipro decides they are freezing their hiring process and they reject to hire him (despite our contract). Everything since that has basically been internal candidates that don't fit our needs— save one person. So, yeah, Wipro is sh*t. #software #swe #engineering
LMAO at the lip synching. So I was regrettably at a notorious WITCH, TLDR they had a java backend dev bootcamp that was free if you passed their test. Anyways yea first job in tech was with a witch and I remember sitting in on an interview. Candidate had thé interview on his phone and he was lip synching. Had no idea how to implement a queue lolllllll; despite cheating he still was shit
They are going through some major shake up of their US Salesforce and IT practices. People are laid of en masse.
