After all of my attempts at reaching FB support, I humbly come to Blind for assistance from a FB Systems Engineer, Support Engineer or Algorithms Engineer. I think there may be something wrong with the algorithm FB is using to temporarily restrict accounts. It seems as if the algorithm woke up one morning and decided to come to work half baked. About a week ago, I tried to make a post on FB and saw a notification that my account was temporarily restricted to prevent misuse. When I checked the violations page to see if I had any active violations, I didn’t have any and there was no information pertaining to how long my account was to be restricted. I reported this issue as a bug, and a few days later I was able to post again to groups. As soon as I posted, almost immediately, I was temporarily restricted again from posting or commenting in certain groups for reasons unbeknownst to me. My post was extremely wholesome and was congratulating the new head of the WHO - nothing that any reasonable person would flag as abusive. I notice that this “restriction” only applies to certain groups but not to all of the groups I am a part of. I’ve tried, unsuccessfully to flag this issue to FB so if anyone here is a Systems Engineer at FB or can assist me, it would very much be appreciated.
Fb is fucked up ... Try new things...
Similar thing happened to my brother. He posted a picture on his fan page with his wife wishing every body happy new year and a few days later he was downgraded to moderator of his own page! and since he is the only one with a page role currently there is no owner nor admin for the page. Flagged this in the support inbox but still no luck.
