Got an offer around 175k 3.5 YOE for enterprise engineer in Austin. Currently making 150k as SWE at Indeed. Is FB EE worth jumping over? Career growth wise and TC? Also, GC is another issue. Since indeed is on hiring freeze and not sure when they are going to lift it, my GC process is stuck.
Somebody told me that Indeed could pay higher than FB SWE🤨 EE refresher is much lower. Is it Customer Care team?
Who said that? Any company could outbid each other. Indeed could pay higher if you had a bad FB offer. But on average, FB offer is way better than indeed and that’s a fact.
A guy posted on blind a year ago saying that there were 6k headcounts in 2019.
Would you mind sharing your interview experience? Thanks!
What would you be doing as a Enterprise Engineer?
We will have SWE in Austin next year also so you can make the switch if you want. 175 TC in Austin is great.
Are you sure about this?
It’s planned, but I would say 90% sure, things can always change.
Don’t do it — ask for SWE, or reinterview in a year. EE is a bait. You’ll never make as much as your SWE peers and you’ll have higher chance of inexperienced managers. Especially since you already have 3.5 years of experience, a comparable offer in SWE is 250K-300K TC.
Can you please share your interview experience? How many rounds you had and what kind of questions they asked?
