Got a FB referral about a month ago with no interview invite. I tick all the boxes in the job spec, pretty do the same role at another FAANG, and when I check LinkedIn I see <25 people applied. Sent the same CV out to a bunch of other conpanies directly and got invites. Also a recruiter from FB reached out about 2 months ago for a more technical role so my profile can’t be that bad. haha Does FB have a better way of breaking in? :)

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Referral doesn’t guarantee anything. Your profile should be an eye catcher for recruiters/hiring managers. Also you are saying you were contacted by a recruiter 2 months ago, so I assume you already interviewed recently, so you need to wait for sometime to get another call from fb.
Have never interviewed at FB. At the time I wasn’t planning to leave my company and they said that was okay.
So tried reaching out the same recruiter?
It’s still possible for you to be contacted. I referred a friend in November and they were auto-rejected. Then two months later they were contacted for a phone screen. Not saying this will happen, but at least it is possible.
Ah okay. Yeah not been rejected. Just assumed if you don’t hear in a few days you are rejected. :)
I usually chase down recruiters for my referral. Is your guy doing the same?
