I have an interview with Facebook for engineering manager role. Is the complexity of technical questions during the interview similar to SDE loop?
@qwerty not true. There are managers that are lateral hires.
Any insights on the technical portion of the engineering manager interview
We ask the same technical questions as in IC interview but the bar is a little bit lower.
^ this. I moved as an EM and went over it not too long ago. Expect architrcture design and coding for example. Interviewers are good balancing how deep to dig in the case of EMs, but interviews are technical for sure. Best advice I can give you: prepare for the tech questions well, and in the loop, don't be afraid to say you don't know and what you would do to find it if things get too deep.
Thanks jJcS73. For the technical side it would be lc hard?
How hard is the coding interview for someone who has not coded in over a decade. Would leetcode practice be sufficient.

Also checkout themanagerinterview.com. I used it to prepare for my Google EM interviews. Super helpful.
What is you current level at amazon (e.g., l6,7) and what level are you being considered for at fb(m1, m2)? I was told fb first bring in external candidates as IC and groom them into manager roles.
L6. Not sure about the level at Facebook. I think that would depend on the performance of the interview
