FB or Uber?

I received a L4 equivalent verbal offer from both these companies so far and interviewing with few more. Have not received any numbers yet but wanted to get opinions from current Facebook and Uber employees. I do have a general sense of WLB and comp. Wanted to get a better understanding of internal culture and mindset at both the companies (after the firings at Uber)? What would you do? YOE: 3 (almost) Current TC: ~220 Current level: L4 Edit: My main incentive for looking outside is increase in TC. I didn't get as many stocks when I joined Google post graduation. #facebook #uber #google

TC at Google? Edit: Saw the update, that's pretty low for Google L4. Recommend going to FB.

Added level and TC. Edit: Yeah, I didn't get many stocks when I joined after my grad school. Thanks for the response.

Current level? Hard to make a decision without knowing the numbers though. General rule of thumb is to only move when TC increase is 30%+

Google KvyW33 OP Dec 30, 2019

True, I am expecting both to give similar comp (should have them by this Friday). Assuming that, WDYT?

I would probably go with FB. Uber seems risky at this point.

Uber might have better max comp for L4

Facebook txntch Dec 30, 2019

Having worked at both (left Uber for FB in 2018), Facebook. My TC increased 60% when I left and that’s not factoring in the substantially better benefits at FB.

what's your YOE and level?

You probably had upleveled from Uber to Facebook, but OP's offers are both L4, which I think Uber can offer more actually.

Uber PM In Chi Dec 30, 2019

They are both great companies for growing your career. Uber I believe can get close to 300k for L4 without signing bonus. 165 base, 100 equity and 15 bonus. 50k signing over 2 years. I’d say pick the one that you like the team best if the comp is similar. Otherwise pick the one with more comp after offers.

Do you have recommendations for teams? I've heard good things about eats and nemo.

Uber PM In Chi Dec 30, 2019

In NY, WA or SF/PA? I’d say individual teams matters more. Not the org (Eats or Nemo). As with all companies, there will be politics at Uber, so your manager matters. Especially below 5b for Promo. Also check out your product manager, Uber has some very bad and some amazing PMs and they matter a lot.
