Can you guys say where I would get better growth as a new grad engineer?
Let them all fight and take highest offer.
We overhire new grads. A lot of them complain no team is interested in them in bootcamp. I'd go with 🦄 Airbnb.
Jesus. This is so hard.
Yeah, it is hard. What are you looking for for the next two to three years? What matters to you most? I assume most new grads want fun work that’s challenging enough for them to grow, but not too difficult to be overwhelmed, while being compensated well enough. Also, a place where you can belong and make friends. I would pick either Airbnb or Pinterest just because it’s in the city and you’ll have a better social life while still having a challenging workplace.
Try Apple, you will get 170+ base and 200k initial shares and joining bonus and then every year 200k shares + 30-50k bonus.
This is not true for New grads
I applied for the 3rd year in a row and they didn’t even respond.
Does Pinterest still give officers that are relatively high in cash? If you liked interning there, there's no reason not to go back, you'll always be able to join many of the other companies on this list just at a higher level.
If you want to learn good engineering with good perks and money, Google. If you want decent tech and good money, FB. Same with Amazon AWS (I don’t know about other Amazon groups). ❤️ the people at Airbnb, tech and money is okay. The others are risky, might as well go to a startup then.
Do you think there will be any major payouts with the IPO and which would you recommend overall FB or Airbnb?
There will be some payouts, but your equity grant as a new grad will not be great at either of those companies (or any other unless you co-found a startup). Most of these companies will also match each other. I think it might be more beneficial to think about skills you can pick up, how you can advance, and find people that you would be happy to work with. Overall, you will work your as off at FB but will have that on your resume, or work a little bit less and have Airbnb on your resume. And money wise just negotiate until you’re happy
Airbnb for me. I’m also in school and preparing for interview, mind if I pm you?
OP, the ship has sailed on those startups to make a lot of money on the IPO. Do you really think you can get millions on an IPO this late in the game? Those are for the early hires at companies, exceptions to FB/Amazon/Goog as their net worth kept going up (exception as in you didn't have to be the first 20-50 hires). Very rare. You're too late to the party to get rich off Airbnb and Pinterest. Try to learn about startups and series.
Take FB. It will be the best for you over the long term. It is A-list and having it on the resume will be a gold badge (although it sounds like you may not need that). Lots of opportunity to learn with an open culture that encourages employees to explore. It will be the best of your options to set you up for future success (if you fully take advantage of it).

Tech companies to avoid as a white guy?
How tf you got time for all these interviews dude lol
You didn’t answer my question lol. I did them over the span of 2.5 months.
Alright I'll answer, AirBnb or FB is best imo for $$$. Good job negotiating deadline extensions I guess.
