FB vs Goog
Lucky to have cleared intvws at both Google and Facebook. Fb: e5 205/700/15%/85k Goog: HC cleared for L4, had follow up design for L5. They didn't go so well so expecting L4 offer. How close will Google come to match FB e5 comp? My main worry is whether I would be able meet e5 expectations consistently. YOE: 6, Sde2 in AWS

Congrats op. You should go to FB if you can put in some extra hours. Btw, how did you get the top of band E5 offer from FB with only G L4 HC clearance and you are only L5 at AMZN? I think even G L5 offer can't beat it. Normally you would get a standard offer if coming as Amazon L5.

Yeah, that package is only for top candidates with strong background/special skills/competing offers/etc. These things don't seem apply to op. Op must be a great negotiator so pls share your experience :)

Wow. Nicely done for just 6yoe! Lots of people with 10+ don’t get the offers you do. Go to FB for better refreshers even if google comes close. The wlb is really overrated.
This .. mess up your WLB for those extra few $’s.
By overrated I mean that it is very team and person dependent. If you want the GEs at FB, sure you may be working harder than someone aiming for an EE at google. Your rewards will be quite different though.
