The recruiter mentioned they are looking for full stack engineers and will be working on developing internal tools for many teams across Facebook. How good is this team actually? And is the compensation in par with a regular SWE?

I don't know about this specific team, but you should ask your recruiter if it's the same pay scale as SWE. Salary will probably be the same, but stock can vary. EE has its own culture and some different tech stacks than the rest of FB. More laid back. More chances to build new systems.
Attend and get the offer and then let's worry. Worst case it will be a good interview experience
