I am currently interviewing with Facebook and have been asked for a follow up after going through the onsite round (sense, execution and behavioral) If you have experience in taking such an interview or have gone through the Product Manager interview process at Facebook recently then please message as I would love to do a mock interview with over the weekend. P.S. I have already tapped into Lewis lin community on slack #product #interviews #onsite
I went through that and got an offer. Feel free to DM me
Hi - I have a FB leadership loop coming up. Looking for guidance. Can you please help? Thanks
Is the follow-up for product sense, execution or behavior?
Are you a PM?
Did you screw up any one of the three interviews?
Kind off.
Haven’t had to redo Leadership&Drive but did a (successful) redo of Product Sense. Generally redos are asked if interviewer didn’t get enough (good) signal but sees potential for you to improve performance in follow up. Recruiter should be able to give you more tactical feedback from your interviewer.
What did you do differently in your product sense redo?
Feedback I got was focusing on 1 user segment too early, and not making assumptions clear. In 35 mins, you should be able to 1) define user groups, 2) set a biz goal 3) ID needs 4) list and prioritize solutions, and 5) do a basic wire of your solution. The time limit is the most difficult aspect of PS, so practice and time yourself. I ran out of time during my onsite, and couldn’t sketch my solution, even though the interviewer said I did well.
Is the Lewis Lin stuff helpful/accurate? Did you take his course?
I found that Lewis Lin was most helpful in terms of product sense and execution. Maybe I wasn’t able to execute well but the DIGS framework made my answers for behavioral a lot more verbose then i flipped back to STAR and cleared the redo
just remember that 90% of 2nd year mbas are reading the same thing
Is product sense and arbiter same for FB ? What is role of arbiter?
Was it a redo for leadership?
Yeah I have experience.
Msgd you
