Had virtual on-site for e5 last week. Recruiter said all feedback has been submitted and packet is going to the hiring committee. Are hiring committee rejection rates high? I believe interviews were good except I was not able to finish coding the 2nd problem in the 2nd coding round. What re my chances? Recruiter is refusing to share any feedback and said she ll only be able to talk after HC meeting.#tech
HC is different than debrief and definitely it's after interviewers passed the packet. Experienced it myself and the f.. happened when HC rejected me my hiring manager contested HC decision but sadly it didn't get through
Did your recruiter tell you why HC rejected your packet?
Shit went on for 2 weeks almost I even had high level numbers
Yes because fucking I was rejected for L6 infra tpm 6 months ago and my hiring manager n recruiter knew it before they reached out to me for L5 product tpm. They said it's not a priblen
So I went through the whole loop and got rejected because the new feedback suggested I missed product scoping and so did the old feedback
Oh. Hard luck!! I was curious how they ll judge and reject a candidate if I interviewers have already passed on the packet. Recruiter said having a referral will be an added boost, but sadly I don’t know anyone at Facebook
It means your feedbacks are not overwhelming bad. That’s all. No need to speculate much.
Thank you.
@GMEMoon What's the rejection rate in local hiring committee stage, just ballpark?
Would like to know that too
Op what was the result
Reject. Design was only up to E4 level. Other rounds had positive feedback. Recruiter said I can interview again in 6 months.
Out of curiosity, how long did they take to give you the "no hire" update?
So, why no downlevel offer ?
Not sure. Recruiter said it was barely upto E4 level. Solution I proposed wasn’t optimal. Probably they wanted stronger signal for an E4 offer.
Good sign. 95% chance to be offered. HC will finalize your level...
Hiring committee is usually the interviewers who took your interview
Oh ok. Thanks. I believe I read somewhere interviewers getting together is debrief and HC is senior managers meeting weekly. Of course you know better.
Can someone confirm this? I thought it was different people by design, otherwise what’s the point.
