Have you ever been transferred between two different teams mid interview process at Facebook? It seems that I have to restart the interview process right before doing my final interview... The position is the same tier, just different team. What’s the point of this???

Sounds like you're a better fit for team 2 than for team 1 for whatever reason. Or team 1 found a candidate they don't think you can beat. Usually interviewing for a specific team is rare, most people interview for a job title and find their team during bootcamp (~ 6 to 12 weeks). If you're interviewing for specific teams, it's likely you have some sort of specialization to begin with. Are you sure "team 2" isn't bootcamp? Finally, I'd just relax and flow with it, if you hadn't shown any potential by now, your recruiter would've answered you "thanks and good luck with your job search" or something to that effect. Just see this as extra time to prepare.
