Facebook security interview
Hello there, Did anyone attend Facebook interview recently for security engineer position ? What are the typical questions we need to prepare? Security is kind of ocean. It becoming hard to cover the stuff and on top of it there is coding round. Any tips for coding round? Apart from Leetcode and Hackerank ? Low to medium should be fine? 2 Med or 1 hard question in 30 mins and bar is same as SWE so most likely the round will be conducted by SWE
Not really. For security engineers, it’s usually a lower bar. They say that clearly. You’re not expected to provide optimal solution for example. LC easy can be enough. Maybe medium.
Oh then my recruiter was just freaking me out. Anyways, I think there’s a lot of security problems at fb yet to be solved so it’s easy to make “an impact”

It’s security role. Not SDE. Apple folks replying fast here, not for resumes lol applied for 3-4 roles for exact match. God knows it went to black holes 😂

OP, is this a security engineer role or a privacy engineer. I’ve seen others mix these up here on Blind. I’ve recently cleared privacy engineer screening rounds and I can help with that.
It’s appsec role. Not privacy engineer.
Have you also completed the onsite?
Like most cases, depends on role, level, etc. but fwiw the recruiter usually does a good job to help you prepare and give you signals on the type of questions/domains. TLDR just be upfront with the recruiter and ask :)
