Facebook vs Amazon vs Shopify
I have got offers from following: 1. Amazon AWS(Vancouver) for SDE2 - 220K CAD Overall 2. Facebook London ( E5) - 104k GBP + 260k USD Stocks/4yrs + 15% bonus(base) 3. Shopify (Remote L6) - 195k CAD overall 4. Expecting offer from Square - Not sure which level and how much will they pay. Yoe: 7 For amazon, had a discussion with hiring manager seems to be a nice team, lots to learn and develop. Product in early stages scope to grow to SDE-3 soon (just a projection). But WLB will be for a toss here I suppose. They also seem to be maxed out for SDE2 here. Comparing Cost of Living and taxes in London, Fb's offer seems to be a lowball and doesnt seem worth it, but the brand and scope to grow/refreshers is high(from what I have heard). Any help if they would negotiate and if yes any idea how much can I push them. Wlb seems to be better than Amazon I think, but worse than shopify and square. Shopify seems to be maxed out here and not ready to negotiate. Position is remote which is a plus and wlb seems to be one of the best here. Square seems to be lowballing offers in Canada from what I heard so not sure what will they offer. Any help or comments would be helpful #facebook #amazon #shopify #square

It's a verbal offer concrete numbers still to arrive.
FB numbers look very standard, even though it appears lowballed given every other offer it's the best one you got. Btw FB is hiring for remote roles in Canada too, but it might be too late now to try for those.

Why are you going for FB London instead of FB Canada Remote? They’d probably do better than all these offers.
Actually when I applied they didn't have openings here. I will ask recruiter if they can shift my position. I am not sure if that is possible.
I’m going through the SDE 2 role and figuring what should I expect. The TC you were offered at Amazon is Base + Bonus for first year ? Or does it include base as well ? I’m seeing numbers like 150 base/30 stocks/50 bonus.

So this is a ball park numbers that recruiter has told me. They will formalize the numbers and send it across this week
This includes base+bonus+5% stocks which is firs year's comp
