I have offers from Facebook, Lyft, and Uber. In short, I prefer Facebook most if TC is same. However, TC from Lyft is higher than Facebook. (and I am not sure if Facebook is worth more than diff) Please leave comments which offer/company is better and why. Also, refresher at Lyft/Uber is uncertain to me so I did not add to TC here. But I was told Lyft refresher is similar to Facebook. (is it true?) Facebook (E5) - 200k base / 15% bonus / 100k sign / 600k equity Lyft (T5) - 200k base / no bonus / 30k sign / 920k equity Uber (5a) - 200k base / 33k bonus / no sign / 720k equity locations are all Seattle. I am looking for 1. TC (40%) 2. Career growth (30%) 3. Culture/WLB/Job stability (30%) I appreciate any of your opinion and information. thank you! #facebook #lyft #uber
Lyft/uber keep laying off more people. So FB?
Lyft hasn’t laid off engineers
Rumor has it that it’s in the pipeline? Heck if I know
Lyft and Uber will go down down. Fb you getting 100k joining and that offer for E5 is a strong offer
wow just look at Lyft stock. The company is dying
Or possibly 920k equity at bargain prices? Better to join when it’s low than high.
yeah..make a bet. You would never know how stock might go but Lyft does look riskier and might provide more reward than FB. FB is definitely more stable
Does Lyft vest quarterly?
FB stocks can go up by 100k and base by 5k.
No brainer. Fb.
Go to FB. Even if you don’t like it you can switch to the other 2 companies for a massive TC boost since they seem to pay a premium for FB. For example there was recently a E4 on blind who was on PIP who got an offer for Uber 5a for 200/900/30
All these startups pay a premium for fb, I guess its becasue fb engineers have good talent like google and most importantly used to work harder and get stuff done unlike google.
Little do with talent, more to do with them bringing in knowledge of systems and processes that work at scale
FB. When, not if, the next recession hit, lyft and Uber stocks probably crash 90% like Amzn, Netflix did or $0. If they survive, they will be stronger than ever before.
It's hard to say no to nearly a million dollars in equity
YOE and current TC?
YOE: 15 current TC: 280k
