I’m interviewing for a position in Facebook (Austin) and although I’m excited about it, it’s under range. I was told in the first round interview the salary cap for the position is 130k with a TC somewhere between 140-160k I’d like to begin preparing for future discussions that i know are on the horizon: how do I introduce the conversation about starting bonus, when there hasn’t been one? Is that something Facebook is typically receptive to? And how firm are the salary/comp caps in your experience? I’m looking for a salary to be closer to the 150k range, with a TC above that. Would they make the 20k leap? This is for a design job, level isnt disclosed, requires 4+ yoe.
