Did well in the system design, algo questions and people management but not so well on career/motivation. Recruiter wanted me to continue interviewing as an IC but I declined. Anyone have tips for nailing these interviews besides read up on STAR? I want to make sure I dont botch future interviews. 😬
what do you mean by continue interviewing as IC? Did you have a coding round?
Said they wanted more experience in a a manger role
I too failed , but I wasn’t given an option to continue interviewing as IC ? I was told to get in touch after 12 months. I was told good system design and coding as well.
In the nontech rounds, you have to tell actual stories to answer their questions. If you don’t have a story for every question to illustrate your response, they will see you lack experience. If you haven’t been through those situations, there’s nothing you can do. Get more experience and reapply.
