I current do a contract QA work at a FAANG company and I am 25, but I don’t see any growth in my current position. I make $70k and don’t having much savings and essentially live paycheck to paycheck, my contracting company has said that there’s pretty much no job growth potential here. What are some ways that I can become an SWE fast? Any boot camps or courses? If so which ones? #swe #google #meta #facebook #bootcamps #coding
I applied to amazon 💀💀
Google and Amazon have been hiring a lot of people who did boot camp. I know two people who got really competitive offers at Google and Amazon. Look for one with good reviews that you can afford. You don’t have to disclose that you did a boot camp. As yes as a former QA engineer, there is not a lot of growth in QA.
DM me. There's a good course that's proven. I can refer and get you a decent discount.
Just wondering how bad is a QAE?
I heard that it’s just as limited
the swe market is already saturated. hard to get a high paying job

Brother beaten severely as a kid. Doesn’t speak to dad at all now.
I don’t know about “fast” but usually people work on their LC chops for a while and in parallel work on getting an interview. I think it shouldn’t be too hard for you to get an interview at Meta for full time SWE so it’s just a matter of doing well in it
What are LC chops? 😅
LC is leetcode, if you haven’t used that before then you might wanna start there and in the process you might realize you need to learn data structures and algorithms. It’s gonna be a loong journey don’t worry
