Not sure what's the difference. I had my onsite last week and recruiter told me my packet looks good and will be going through these two review meetings this week. Fingers crossed...
Good luck.
Debrief is a meeting among the interviewers and the recruiter and hiring manager to discuss a case. It's used to discuss common concerns if there are any. It can also be really quick if everyone agrees. The packet doesn't really go through debrief. The hiring committee requires the packet. In most cases, they take the recommendation of the interviewers (SWE) or both them and the hiring manager (other) and it's an easy process. It's rare for there to be issues at committee, except perhaps leveling.
Isn’t there a boot camp? And if so, how is the hiring manager involved?
What was the result
Very positive feedback. Want to consider me for other roles. But it was a beauty contest and they went with another candidate who fitted the gaps in the teams better. Frankly I’m happy where I am and quite done with FB - this is literally the third time I’m a finalist after being invited to apply and they obviously like me as they keep calling me back. But it’s always the case that another candidate is better suited for the particular role at that time. Appreciate amazon more now - for not doing beauty contests and hiring as soon as they like someone
Does FB hire for specific role ? I thought you get hired and then a team or role matching happens?
Good luck tell us what happened
