Need help evaluating which job to take. First option is product management at an industrial manufacturer. Great Product experience and would be wearing a lot of hats. Also diversifies me away from engineered sales, in which I have 9+ YOE. Downside is comp is not great. TC $126k Second option is an offer from a competitor for sales/District management. I’d get direct reports and have P/L responsibility. And while the main responsibility is revenue growth and operating income, I would have some operations responsibility too. The comp package is significantly more too. Downside is risk of getting pigeon-holed with sales focus given my 9 YOE already in that space. TC $185k+ Do I take the PM role for less comp to get different experience, or chase the money and get direct reports and P/L experience. Appreciate y’all! YOE 9 years Current TC $115k
