Not to offend anyone. But can someone throw light on why companies higher highly qualified people ( e.g. PhDs ) who are not assigned to any projects. Instead we only see LinkedIn filled with their attendance in multiple conferences (IEEE etc). Not sure how this attendance at personal level helps their company ? Enlighten me please!
