Fidelity Investments SDE L5 and L6 Salary
Hi Fid Employees, I’m currently interviewing with fidelity for two SDE roles , one is L5 and other one is L6. What is the base pay & TC we can expect on L5 and L6? I moved to US a year back. Current TC: $120k Is there a room to negotiate L5 to $135k base ? Location : RTP , NC #fidelityinvestments
L6 with 6 yoe is a little far-fetched. If you get it good for you. Last time I checked base pay was 120k and 140k for L5 and L6.
Pretty big range in both grades. 5 can be 120-140ish. 6 130-180. And that’s base pay not TC. There’s absolutely no reason to take the 5 if you can get the 6. It’s easier to get 6 from the outside than internally imo.
Switching from contract role to full time in a different business unit can be done within 1 year of contract ? Recruiter was not sure if they consider when I am working less than a year as contractor to switch to FT. He is going to check on it. Recruiter is saying L5 range is $115k - $125k max. Can I push it to 140k base ?
You can try whatever you want but in this environment, they might not agree. 125 is definitely not max. If they’re considering you for L6 I’d leverage that and say you’re a high end 5 anyway.
Is L5 suppose to be principal level? @op can you comment on how the interview process was?

Just had recruiter call for both levels . Both the recruiters are not sure if they can hire a contractor within 1 year as a full time .
