Any Fidelity grade 8 VPs on here? What’s your base? I am making $145k base and think I am under vs peer group #finance #fidelityinvestments #fidelity
What is your role and location? I like that Fido is in RTP with LCOL. For comparison- I am $145k in Chicago at JPMC with $20k bonus. Pretty much 8-5 and very rare mandatory weekend. (I do work on weekends because I skip on stuff during the week)
Texas Bonus opportunity is 50%
Is your variable pay like 100 -120%? Btw given you are VP don’t you have access to pay bands? That seems low. I say that as Fidelity has sde ,sde2, sr, principal, director and then VP. Unlike other banks which start with some stupid VP title right out of college. I got an offer for Sr with 112k base recently with 20% target bonus. But obviously rejected that.
Which team?
Bonus opportunity is 50% with shares if you are considered “top talent”
Actually does anyone know what the PA dealing rules are for Fidelity? Can you short stocks?
You cannot short stocks.
These days Fidelity L6 are getting base of 140k .. your seams too low for VP. think bonus for VP at fidelity is around 40%
8 here with base 160 and bonus 50%
What about shares? Do you get p type regularly, thereby making the salary competitive?
Yes, both I and P
I’m a senior engineer here (L5) and making 105 base, 126 with target bonus. 140 base seems low for 3 pay bands above where I am.
What is your YOE and Can you share which org you work in just got a similar offer for L5 wanted to check with you on few other things?
You’re getting lowballed but then again, everyone at Fidelity is. Only ppl truly making good money is abby exec team
That’s true for any company.
The ones making the money are the “heads of…” +, which I’m guessing is L9 and beyond. And yeah, true of any company, but one would think that a top 5 AUM who can clearly afford it, would pay those in tech competitive comps.
On average at L8 your tc should be between 300k and 350k. If not then 145k base is low. Example 145k base + 70k bonus + 90k shares + 15k profit sharing = 320k
Can I PM you about the shares? The way it was described to me previously had no where near that level of stock. Are people at VP level or otherwise really getting 90k stock grants at fidelity ?
Vesting is over the period of 3 yrs (paid each year). So, starting 3rd yr you will get 3x payout - eg if you get 30k worth of shares every yr then from 3rd yr onwards you will get 90k every year.
Yes that is less for a VP.

How do you get to have a VP title with that base? Interns at meta make that
Ha good question… the higher up you go, the more it seems they push variable comp vs base comp
Ahh. Is this noneng role?
