Fidelity values Stripe shares at $32.20, down from $41.81 at the end of 2021. Presumably the $41.81 is from their earlier investment? So, is Stripe going to grant all their employees more shares now with the new equity gets by policy? Any employee surprised? #stripe https://www.businessinsider.com/strip-instacart-valuations-cut-by-fidelity-again-2022-3
Mark to market like 2008. Keep em coming.

Hi Bangla bro
Public growth stocks are down 50%. Fidelity is kidding themselves. Round 2 is incoming
This was round 2 of the cuts, they did ~9-10% a while ago in 2022. Fidelity is “slow” to cut so don’t disagree with another round of slashing. Question is if their employees benefit (or basically baghold the higher price).
You mean 75% 🤡
rip in pieces stripe
Genuinely wondering what happens to employees equity in this case?
Those on the new plan are protected from downsides - the RSU grant is a fixed dollar amount, not a fixed number of shares. Those on the old plan (fixed number of shares) are going to take a haircut. But the last ones on the old plan are still way ahead - the valuation was much lower at that time. -20% is not the end of the world. It is only the IPO value that will really matter.
Only those who joined in latest rounds got shaved. The rest will still be ok so no one cares much unless it affects many.
Already said stripe, databricks, etc will have it coming since Instacart got slashed down. Of course many dreamers from these places.
Disagree about Databricks, given our insane growth.
Databricks at best will grow into its valuation and not get devalued from what I have gathered so far.
When will stripe ipo
Never. They just talk about it forever.
Stripe doesn’t have the balls to go public
Fidelity valuations are total BS to begin with especially since they are not investors.
They are the fourth-largest investment manager in the world
Lyft how about you guys actually have a positive quarter for once. It’s been over 4 years and you have yet to make money. I suggest you don’t comment on “valuations”
There goes all the “need stripe referral ” posts
@qano, not sure what you mean by 2 year refresher? Genuinely curious bc I have a recruiter call set up for next month
