How is the work culture at Fidelity? How are data engineering teams ? Any insight into salary bands (levels.fyi wasn’t that clear for DE) ? Curious because I see a lot of hiring being done for many positions. TC 160k for 4 YOE
160k? L5?
Me ?
Yes
Salary is pretty bad but WLB and benes make up, I love it though I put in a 40hr work week maybe once a month usually less, 145K TC 2yoe analytics
Anything in particular that stands out, benefits wise?
17 percent into my 401k
Dress code? What position are you in?
Great benefits. Lack of flexibility with remote/hybrid work. People, overall ate great but executive leadership is way out of touch with reality and the life of an average person. They talk a lot about culture but don’t define it past “we are an in person culture” which isn’t a definition of culture. Trying to push “old” values to new people instead of other way around which is what your supposed to hire new people for.
Would you know what to expect for Principal role in terms of Salary & benefits?
They are really pushing in person now ? 5 days per month ? Is there a strategy for fully back office ?
Can anyone from fidelity refer me for software engineer role ?
How long is the onboarding process at fidelity after offer letter ?
I really like Fidelity, so I looked into it, and it seems like the pay for software blows
The pay blows for all roles. I interviewed there for analytics and it was horrendous. Great WLB I'm told. Basically a retirement home when you just want to phone it in and get subsidized health insurance until 65.
Agree. But wondering if anyone got good stock or profit sharing options.
