Use TurboTax. You might need to pay like 30bucks max.

Credit Karma is completely free.

There is no such thing anymore
Yes. CreditKarma/FreeTax.com
Be aware scholarships and grants count as taxable income, your university should provide you a tax form. Hurt like a b*** when I had to pay taxes on those when I started working, but it’s better than having to pay 10 times as much in tuition.
Just fill it out, read instructions carefully, don't miss any forms. Then use TurboTax to fill in all the same inputs (you don't have to pay off you don't submit through TurboTax) and see if refund amount matches

Hi, I'm am filing for the first time. Do.you have any suggestions or tips?
I always use H&R Block on the web. It’s pretty simple. Most forms are available electronically so you just need to read from pdf’s or upload them and their system extracts data for various fields. There is still manual work and review necessary and they usually charge at least $30 to file them with the IRS.
