I am a recent grad with yoe 1.5 as a finance analyst at past. When I check positions - finance analyst at Corporate Finance, most of them require 3-5 yoe. How can I compensate this gap to find a job? For instance, for technical roles, people can work on side projects and etc. What is alternative of this for finance. I'd like to emphasize that I am interested in corporate finance at tech, retailer firms, not banking, investment and etc. #finance #requirements #sideprojects Additionally, do you know firms hire recent finance grads these days? TC 35,000 (fellowship) YOE 1.5 (with research assistant in finance 3.5)
You are still considered entry level so just apply to entry level roles. They’re a lot of entry level Finance jobs out there right now
Avoid a career in finance while there's still time to change. Finance is unforgiving with peanuts in TC compared to software engineering
I have MS in Finance + Finance WO, therefore hard to switch right now. After getting job in Finance or Data Science, I'll definitely switch to SE.
Since I am an international student and need to find a job to stay here (visa issues), finance will be quick way
