Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
Keeping this pretty vague for the sake of privacy. I was working at a good startup for a few months, and was told I needed to attend an on-site. With less than a day notice I said that if we could schedule for a later time as I need to find a babysitter for my child. I was let go as they “didn’t think I could balance being a parent, and give enough to the company” despite a few very successful projects, and getting great reviews. The only difference was letting them know I was a parent. Obviously going to drag them to court, and my lawyer has advised me to not talk about it as it’s an ongoing case. But, in the meantime I’m having a hard time finding work because I have a short stint on my resume, and I do have a family to support. If anyone would be willing to give me a referral it would be amazing. Edit: it sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous. I am willing to provide proof. I have no comment other than to say that I hope you destroy them in court. The market is tough right now, best of luck in your search.
Thanks. My lawyer said it’s slam dunk case. But, it’ll be a minute before I see any money from it. Until then I still have to pay living expenses.
Why not just take your short stint off your resume? I don’t know how actively Snap is hiring, but if you send me a job posting and your resume, I’ll refer you.
Thank you I’ll take a look. So I was laid off middle of last year, and it took me a few months to find a job. I figured it’d be better to have something on my resume than long term unemployment.

Do not provide proof until it's through court
Oh I mean through DM’s I wasn’t going to publicly post it. Just privately.
Listen to your lawyer and stop talking about it.
