Do you think free legal advice is a good office perk? You can use it to speak to lawyers about matters like visas, tenancy issues and family law. https://www.linkedin.com/news/story/the-next-big-job-perk-a-lawyer-5924474/ #tech #perk #office #legal #lawyer
It's a great perk, my buddy used it to get out of his marriage
Get his marriage into what?
You can remove NO from poll
my old job had access to a free rocket lawyer account. helped me with some family documents
It's a great perk, I used it against them to file a harassment claim against my manager /s
My employer provides legal insurance for a few bucks a month and it's been worth every penny. Just the amount I've saved on traffic fines has covered the cost multiple times over.
How can the lawyer help with the fines? Super curious about this.
They show up at the court and get the infraction & fines reduced. I don't know all the details, but I guess they know what buttons to push with the judge. I've had 30 mph over the limit tickets turned into 5 mph violations instead.
Google has a similar āperkā as part of the benefits package and itās garbage. 3 times I wanted to use it, and every time it was completely useless and a waste of time. In one case I wanted advice about my spouses employer, they said they donāt advise about employers period (even though itās not G). In another case they connected me with a lawyer for a free consult. During the consult I told him - this is what happened and these are my options, what to do? He told me - you have these options (the same ones I already told him about) and rushed to end the meeting. In third case they connected me with a much shittier lawyer for a free consult. First, they (lawyers office) rescheduled the consult 2 times. And then on the scheduled day they tried to reschedule it for a different time of day. At that point I abandoned the idea of working with this lawyer. Maybe if executed better it could be useful, but Iām very skeptical.
Itās a great perk, my buddy used it to get out of a 130mph speeding ticket
