I recently got my performance review results and I am severely disappointed. I work at Accenture. My first review did not go well last year, but this year I made serious improvements and got glowing reviews from the managers on my client team. They were setting me up for a promotion this year. My results were worse than last year, even though I made serious improvements. I understand COVID could possibly impact these results but from talking to others they all got MUCH better results than I did, with many folks getting promotions. I already felt underpaid, but now I know I’m under appreciated. Would it be a terrible idea to quit, focus on leetcoding and passing some interviews in a few months? I’m already swamped with work on my client team for the next few months and won’t be able to make time for interview prep. Is my plan too risky in this job climate at my skill level? Can u ask to relocate to move to lower col? I think my company is letting us work remotely now since covid proved it works for my team.
My brother worked at Accenture for years and wished he had left sooner. It’s great for experience, but they’re notorious for squeezing every ounce of work out of people while paying the minimum, especially if they recruited you fresh out of college. GTFO of there.
Couldn't agree more, I would recommend start preparing for interviews and get a better role where you are paid what you are actually worth - not the bare minimum.
I joined Accenture straight out of college, it's been 7 years now. My salary is exactly HALF OF THE MARKET STANDARDS. Had word with HR and Manager for market standardization but to no vail. I did a big mistake for staying for 7 years. Preparing for my interviews now. Will suggest you the same.

Damn 73k in NYC. Regardless of how you feel personally in your current role, I think it’s worth trying to move purely from a financial perspective (unless you really love your job, but sounds like that isn’t the case). I personally would just make sure to set limits w your employer. Negative feedback and low tc is not worth working more than 8hrs a day. I wouldn’t quit, but I would enforce work hours appropriate to the situation (referring to previous sentence). Study a couple hours a day when possible and prep for interviews.
I far from love this job. I like the people, but the job itself isn’t great. Thanks for the advice
