So I had this Samsung phone with t mobile. I paid it off, unlocked it and moved to Verizon. Apparently on android your carrier pushes OS and security updates (unless it’s pixel) that I didn’t know. Since the phone isn’t with t mobile any more, t mobile doesn’t push anything. Verizon won’t push as it isn’t their phone. I haven’t received any updates since last 6 months. When I check for updates, it says my phone is up to date. corp access isn’t working any more on the phone as I’m running outdated OS.
Android : “Why he say fuck me for?”
I don’t know. Fuck everyone.
Well yea. Buy unlocked phones...
I have Google fi phone Samsung on mint mobile for 4 months and I still receive updates 🤷♂️
This problem is only with Samsung mobile and the reason why I left them.
Did you not know this? Every update that came out fof the galaxy devices says your carrier on the top of the update screen. Op it sounds like you just didnt bother to do research before switching for something that should be an obvious thing
Never occurred to me that this BS is possible. Lesson learnt I guess.
Wouldn't the same shit happen on a carrier iphone. Get unlocked lmao
No it doesn’t. I’ve unlocked my iPhone and moved iPhones across carriers before. Never had this problem.
Get an unlocked one
Not a big deal OP, use ODIN. You're working in Google. You can flash your phone
I can't say if OP is a troll or just can't pick the right phone. And yes, iPhone is the answer, it has always been the answer, you never should doubt about iPhones, everyone on the iPhone building team is a god, iPhones are perfection, you can't possibly make anything better than iPhone. ,
Tbh android was fine until this BS.
Makes no sense. It wasn't t-mobile's phone either if you own it. The problem here seems to be Verizon, why not talk to them.
Have you considered an iPhone on AT&T?
Moving to iPhone. Unlocked.
Why not Google Pixel? Smooth transition from Android.
