Fu*ked up UIs

Latest youtube UI (android not sure about iphone) has so many basic bugs - Seek does not work. Works after couple of tries. After seek many time the video gets dim (gray overlay) , only way to fix is kill the app and start again Tap on a minimized video does not work. Latest WhatsApp UI has so much space wasted - 40% of screen is just showing buttons, search bars etc. Chat view port is getting only 60%. Why is there a need to have search bar always on! Worse part is there is no way to turn off these useless controls. Who is making these substandard decisions? How Google engineers are making such a buggy product? Where is testing folks?
