How is the work, culture and salary compared to Oracle?
oh which company are you from... well, really?
I can speak to GE in general from a few years back - not that location or division. Generally nice people, relatively slow career trajectories and a fair amount of bureaucracy and tight budgets. On the upside they put a lot of work into training managers so they are generally more competent than what I've seen in pure tech companies. I encountered less sexism day-to-day. And it is very possible to just be an individual contributor who does their job without huge aspirations to move up, which seems not to be an option in pure tech. It just depends on what you're looking for.
i think the only benefit is they can own big ass house and have 30 mins- commute with single income
the one in San Ramon? all indians.
