I recently received an offer letter for a Software Engineer 3 role at Walmart Bentonville, AK. and I'm excited about the opportunity. However, I've been contemplating the future employment landscape at Walmart, especially in light of recent industry-wide layoffs. Given your experience and insights, I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice you could offer on how to effectively prepare, collaborate, and grow within the company. To grow to senior or even beyond you should own something, know how to drive epics, cross team initiatives ( for staff and up )
At that level at Walmart, it’s pretty simple. Do what your PM and business partners ask you to do. You’d be surprised how many people don’t. Maybe because layoffs and Pip are super rare.
