can anyone provide any insight on the company culture, senior management, etc thanks
Depends on the team. Even within englewood they have offices in multiple locations. Most of the teams get no work from home. Some managers are flexible to allow working on alternate days for bad weather or sick days. Their benefits are about average/below average compared to other tech companies.
Thanks for the insight. Anything good about working for Dish?
For a first job or internship, you can get to learn a lot. I assume you are going for a senior role. Dish still has good talented people in engineering but competitor salaries and benefits make a lot of them switch over eventually.
It’s awful. I would not recommend. They track the time you come in and time you leave. If you come in post 9 3X you are fired. Promotions are totally based on politics and performance. No WFH and management is too old school
Dish is pretty old school and they aren't good at paying their employees or providing better benefits. Frugality runs in their blood. Sling is a part of Dish and I feel Sling has better culture compared to Dish. Dish has multiple offices in Denver and Meridian HQ has the worst rules amongst all. Inverness offices are mostly Engineering related and they are a bit better. No WFH, not even on days of 14" snow (depends on office you work at and the team). It is a good place to learn if you start as a new grad, but if you are a high performer, good luck in getting recognition.
I have heard culture is pretty old school. No wfh. They keep tabs on what time you come and go etc.
True
Can confirm
