Gap in resume

I have an experience of more than 9 years all in Data Science. I am fed up in my current role. The manager gives me shitty work which does not leave me with any time to prepare for some other job. Mental health and work life balance have taken a hit. If I will leave my job to prepare well for job interviews, will that be a good decision ? There will be gap in my resume then.
