I was recently impacted by layoffs. I’m approaching the end of my redeployment timeline and will be officially out of work end of this week. I have another offer lined up but it I would need to take a pay cut. If I decide to not take it and continue job search, I will end up with a gap in resume in work experience. Is this going to be negative from recruiters perspective ? Will this impact any future job prospects ? What is acceptable amount of gap time on resume ?
It’s not that bad working for an apparel company. Mostly e-commerce and low scale, but you can spin it as something technically challenging.
🤣🤣
Lol
Unless it is like 1 yr don’t worry too much. Even if it is 1 yr you can say (and do) you were taking break and also upskilling by working on a hobby project
Don’t worry about it at all, most important is your past experience, motivation and performance during interviews for them; take your time, don’t stress it 😁
Any recruiters on here who can comment ? Is it a red flag and do u automatically filter our candidates if u see gap on resume ?
