Get married or not? Why?

I'm 22F and I see many people around me who either got married or plan to get married in a couple years. I'm kinda in shock as I thought this kind of matter was for when you are closer to 30. I've had a few relationships and I enjoy dating or being in relationships but 2+ years of commitment or the idea of marriage has always scared me. + I easily get crushes or develop interests in other people. At the same time I'm worried if everyone will get married and be out of the dating pool soon at this rate. What's your opinion about marriage, and why?

Dating pool is done in your late 20s

Quality of dating pool after, lets say, 40 is not very good. Make up your mind if you re open to marriage before you hit 30.

That's harsh but good you came out of it quickly

Lol women shouldn't complain about ghosting and dating prospects at least on West coast

50%. Odds are it won’t be forever. And half of what you build can vanish.

Google hank_moody May 22, 2019

Exactly. 50%. It is equivalent with going to Vegas and putting half of your wealth on a roulette table. Plus if shit hits the fan and you earn more you can be hosed for life through alimony (and child support) payments. In CA after 10 years it will be indefinite. If there is an income gap marriage is a terrible idea for the higher earner.

Don’t get married. Instead pretend to be a man and engage in the workforce. Waste your youth pretending to be happy, and grow into an old crone who’s only joy left is sabotaging the beauty of up and coming young women, attempting to vindicate your own self-imposed fate despite its insatiable and irreversible state.

Are you serious? 22 and you are thinking about getting married? Have you seen the world? The men in the world? Or even spoken to them. Jesus Christ!

Should be options to not get married until 30

Amazon desposito May 20, 2019

Yeah don't even think about getting married before 28 I would say

Amazon 1232 OP May 20, 2019

that should be included in "will get married" imo. It's surprising how much pressure I could get just by seeing bunch of friends getting engaged/married lol I didn't wanna think about it until 30!

The grass is always greener on the other side. Like some others pointed out the dating pool starts shrinking as you hit late 20s for women and early 30s for men.
