After I reached out to the engineering team lead on LinkedIn about wanting to join his team, he found an error in my LinkedIn message that was my fault. He then said he was open to being my mentor, how would someone be your mentor when you guys are 5,000km apart I live in Nigeria and he lives in Italy and what does a mentor do in the tech industry? A mentor would be a good source to get answers to questions just like the one you're asking now as well as giving general career advice and feedback on specific situations you may find yourself in. You can of course get most of this from Blind but a mentor would get to know you better and be able to provide responses better tailored to you.
Better ROI for you would be to find a female mentor at an MNC and maybe marry her 😂
Haha 😂 Is that what you do?
